As of the analysis, Strategy has a market capitalization of $42 billion, with short positions reaching $6 billion. While the firm leads in shorts among companies with a capitalization over $25 billion, only 63 hedge funds own 3% of Strategy's capital.
Since 2020, Strategy has aggressively invested in Bitcoin, leading to a stock surge from $12 to $473 by November 2025. However, a 50% drop in Bitcoin undermined the company’s growth strategy: the stock price fell 61.39% over the past six months, reaching $135.65.
The company holds 717,722 BTC worth approximately $47 billion. It is important to note that other public companies have essentially ceased Bitcoin investments, making Strategy the dominant player with 99.2% of all corporate BTC purchases.
The market is concerned about the reliability of Strategy's corporate Bitcoin strategy. The recent purchase of 592 BTC at $39 million demonstrates the company’s commitment to crypto investments despite falling prices.
