BTC Market Review - June 2, 2026

Market selling continues to effectively influence the price, and limited demand is not yet sufficient to halt the decline. The local downward structure remains without signs of reversal.
Table of contents
In this market review, we do not attempt to predict the future; our task is to state the facts we have at the current moment. We base our actions on these facts, not on our expectations and hopes.
Market Orders and Limit Orders
Over the period under review, market orders show a persistent local predominance of sell market orders. This is clearly visible in the delta histogram (red rectangle) and indicates a continued increase in seller activity. Selling pressure is becoming more pronounced, and market sell orders are exerting an increasingly significant influence on price dynamics, supporting the downward movement.
At the same time, buy orders (green rectangle) remain dominant in limit orders. However, the current volume of limit demand is insufficient to support the price and offset the pressure from market sellers. Despite the presence of support, its effectiveness remains limited, allowing sellers to maintain control over the price movement.

Z-Score (price)
During the last decline, market participants’ selling pushed the price down by more than two standard deviations, pushing it into the percentile anomalous zone (red arrow). This deviation reflects increased selling pressure and indicates locally anomalous values relative to market averages.

Balance Index
The Balance Index has returned to the normal percentile range and currently shows no significant bias toward buyers or sellers.

Price Dynamics
Market sell orders continue to become increasingly pronounced, and the price is responding to this activity with a further decline, confirming the increasing effectiveness of sellers. At the same time, buy orders remain dominant in limit orders, creating potential support in the current range. However, this support is currently insufficient to halt the downward movement or form a sustainable reversal.
Summary:
According to Charles Dow’s theory, the local structure remains downward: lows continue to be made, and buyers have not yet demonstrated sufficient strength to reverse the current trend. Current price action indicates the effective influence of market selling and the absence of clear signs of a reversal or change in direction.
