On August 29, the Zakura team announced an update to its ecosystem by introducing a suite of cryptographic and protocol libraries for Zcash. In terms of scalability, Zakura shows that the network can support the proposed NU7 25-second target interval between blocks. This change is evident in proposal ZIP 218, which aims to reduce latency and limit operations in the private pools Sapling and Orchard, promising a 37% reduction in data volume for syncing lightweight wallets.
